I am grateful for how the Lord has supplied my every need, in so many ways...not the least of which has been through the generosity of the body of Christ.

There have been adjustments to the budget that Alongside Ministries has set for me, as a single expat living modestly in Prague. Originally we had projected about $6000 per month, but recent detailed analysis, including factors like a rapidly increasing cost of living in Prague, and the weakening dollar against the local currency, the amount I need to remain fully-funded in Prague is at least $8000 per month. This includes the standard living expenses (rent, food, utilities, etc.), plus necessary travel expenses, ministry expenditures, health insurance, and administrative assessment, among other things.

It does NOT include one-time and start-up expenses (language school, initial moving expenses, visa expenses, purchase of basic household items, etc.) It also doesn't include the necessary equipment that I will need to purchase to do my job. These special one-time expenses will run in the neighborhood of $12,000. Nevertheless, a substantial amount of this has already accumulated in my account, and I am so grateful!

So far this year, the average contributions have been around $7000 per month, with $5000 of that being specifically pledged, and the remainder being one-time gifts or gifts of unspecified frequency. And I also have accumulated a surplus (from gifts that came in prior to my drawing a salary) so I am in not in a difficult position right now, but I am encouraged to try to bring those pledges up to what will be a sustainable amount.

I am in awe of the generosity of so many people who have made this possible. It has been an incredible answer to prayer.
