Dobrý den z Prahy!
Prague is a beautiful, interesting city. But mostly I take pictures of things just so I can load them in Google Lens to translate text for me. Food labels. Washing machine settings. Knowing which button to press on the gizmo at the cell phone store when you "take a number" for service. So lest you think life is all castles and cathedrals and sunsets, I figured I'd share a few of the pictures of the more mundane aspects of life.

It's been a week ranging from sublime to ridiculous. The sublime: Friday I went to the grandest of the churches--St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague Castle, and was rewarded by just basking in the beauty of the building and then having my bones jarred with Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor played on the 6,000 pipe organ. The ridiculous: Saturday I spent most of my day unsuccessfully wrestling with a nuisance problem with my editing software that was not nearly big enough to warrant that much attention. Isn't that the way of things? The grand and glorious mingled with the banal and stupid. My new phrase for the week: Život je složitý. Life is complex.
BUT...I may have found a place to live! I've "shaken hands" on a new (new construction in old building) flat that ticks most of my boxes. It won't be ready for another month, but they offered a temporary place to stay on the edge of town once my AirBnB terminates next week. So hopefully in two moves I'll be in some place quasi-permanent. I also hope to start with a "less intense" language course that's two evenings a week starting next month. Not as intense as my original plans, but perhaps a better option as I an still getting settled. Thanks for praying--please continue to pray for my living situation here to shape up, for language training, and health & stamina; also for the continued process of my home sale and visa (still no word!) Thank you!
Na shledanou...uvidíme se příště!
